If one member is afflicted with pain…Other members uneasy will remain. – Saadi
Salam to all my friends around the world,
This “unlawful” music brought us all together, made us united, and let us share what we passionately love.
As you all might know by now, last week a massive earthquake hit East Azerbaijan Province, in Iran. There were hundreds who lost their lives and thousands whom this earthquake affected their life.
Kind volunteers and governmental rescue teams were active from day one in the area. As time pass by, number of volunteers and governmental teams decrease, while affected people still need help for their basic needs.
The day after this incident we asked JAZZNOT community to help us raise money to help our Azeri friends. Like always, you were kind enough to join us for another cause.
This Friday (August 24th), I’m going to East Azerbaijan Province myself, visiting earthquake sites, meeting with locals and local organizations, whom we know and trust in what they do, to use your generous donations in making this recovering process a little less painful.
I wanted to ask you once again to join me raising money for this cause. If you have already donated, please share this with your friends. And please remember, no amount is too small!

*Since Iran is under sanctions, it’s very hard to transfer money between Iran and other countries, especially US. The solution we found is that we directly convert dollar to rial and pay from my bank account in Iran instead, this way we avoid bank transactions between US/Iran and also sanctions.
I’ll keep you updated during this process via email and photos.
